Features of this insurance
This dependency insurance will help you cover the needs that may arise if you suffer from any physical or mental limitation that prevents you from performing the basic activities of daily living.
To access the insurance benefits, the degree of severe dependency or great dependency must be legally recognized. In that case, the insurance will provide you with very valuable financial assistance, both for you and your loved ones.
In a desperate situation, you will have access to an immediate lump sum of €2,000 to cover initial expenses, and later you will receive the insured capital based on your age. The insured capital will be higher the younger you are when the dependency is recognized.
Tax Advantages of Long-Term Care Insurance
As we mentioned earlier, long-term care insurance offers certain tax advantages similar to pension plans.
Therefore, if you take out this type of insurance, you can benefit when filing your income tax return, since the premiums paid, provided certain requirements and limits are met, can be deducted from the taxable base of your personal income tax (IRPF), and the benefit received will be taxed as employment income.
You can take out this insurance up to the age of 69 and you can renew it until you turn 84. In any case, if you have any questions, visit one of our offices and they will give you all the details.
