The prepaid card is a solution to limit the risk of your cards, as it has a preloaded amount that will be the maximum you can spend. It’s ideal if you’re traveling abroad, especially outside the euro zone, because it’s universal and has no currency exchange fee, both for purchases and cash withdrawals. Remember that some banks may charge you a fee for using their ATM. This card works anywhere in the world where Visa cards are accepted. But keep in mind that you can’t spend more than the available balance, as its use is limited to the amount you have previously loaded onto it.

How does it work? It’s a card where money is deposited in advance, and that will be your available balance. Every purchase you make or every time you withdraw money from an ATM will be deducted from that balance. You cannot deposit more than €1,500 per month and €10,000 per year.
