Investing in Investment Funds
Investment funds are investment vehicles consisting of assets formed by the contributions of a variable number of investors, known as participants. Through these funds, the contributions are invested in different instruments: fixed income, equities, etc., depending on each fund's investment policy. Their objective is to obtain returns, although these are products that involve risks and may result in capital losses.
Specialized management companies will decide where, when, and how much money to invest in each asset, following pre-established guidelines. In addition, ABANCA has its own management company, ABANCA Gestión de Activos, through which it manages and offers its clients ABANCA-branded proprietary funds.
Once you have invested in them, you won't have to worry about making daily investment decisions, as the management company will do it for you. It is, therefore, a way to let a group of professionals (the management company) invest and manage the contributions made to the fund by the various participants.

The liquidity of many funds allows you to recover your invested savings in a few days, assuming possible gains or losses. Keep in mind the time horizon of each fund, as requesting redemption before the recommended horizon may involve a higher risk of loss on the invested capital.
At ABANCA, we offer our clients an extensive range of investment funds.

If you are just starting out in the world of investing, before you do, you should keep in mind that each fund, depending on its specific characteristics and the assets it invests in, will involve more or less risk. If the performance of the markets or the assets in which the fund invests is not as expected, its value may decline and you may have to assume losses. The volatility of a fund precisely measures the degree to which the fund's net asset value fluctuates. The higher the volatility, the greater the risk, and usually, higher returns involve higher risks. Past performance is not a guarantee of future returns. Get informed and invest your money responsibly.
