Trade on the stock market with the online broker
If you have experience in the investment world and know what we’re talking about, go straight to our online broker. However, if you’re just starting out, you should keep in mind that investing in the stock markets involves risk. If the markets do not perform as expected, their value may decrease and you could incur losses.
All our clients have access to an online broker to trade on the stock market easily and efficiently. It’s a web platform with everything you need to track the performance of national and international stock markets, open a Securities Account, buy and sell shares… It also allows you to group all your transactions in a Securities Account with very competitive fees for your trades.
To start using our online broker, keep in mind:
- if you are already an ABANCA client, you only need your online banking credentials to sign up. If you don’t have them yet, you can request them and we’ll send them to you quickly.
- if you are not yet an ABANCA client, become a client now completely online or visit one of our branches and open a Securities Account.
- if you are looking for fully personalized advice, visit one of our branches and our specialized managers will make an investment proposal according to your preferences, objectives, and financial situation.
Opening a Securities Account, the first step before trading on the stock market
To invest in the stock market, the first thing you need is a Securities Account from which you will manage your portfolio of shares. You’ll have all your securities transactions grouped and organized so you can check them whenever you want.
The Securities Account is linked to a current account, from which we will debit the amount of your purchase orders, commissions related to transactions and custody of the securities you deposit, etc. This is also where the money from the sale of shares and rights, or dividend payments, will be credited.
If you don’t yet have a Securities Account, you can open one through the Online Broker using your online banking username and password.
What are the commissions for trading on the Stock Market?
If you carry out your transactions through the online broker from your online banking or app, you will have a flat fee per transaction, depending on the volume of the trade and the market in which you want to operate. If you wish, we provide detailed information about our fees.
Remember that, as with any stock market transaction, you must pay the stock exchange fees and charges, which are common to all entities. Also, activate the free e-correspondence service to avoid postal costs.
